    3. Navik (GD): Born between 01 Aug 2001 to 31 Jul 2007 (18-24 years).

    6. Navik (GD): Passed Class 12th (10+2) with at least 60% aggregate marks in any stream (Science preferred, but not mandatory). AND Minimum 50% marks in Mathematics from Class 10th onwards (Class 10th marksheet required).
    7. Yantrik (Mechanical): Passed Class 12th (10+2) with 60% aggregate marks and 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/IT. OR 3-year Diploma in Mechanical / Naval Architecture / Marine / Automotive / Mechatronics / Industrial & Production / Metallurgy / Design & Construction / Instrumentation & Control / Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering with 60% aggregate marks.
    8. Yantrik (Electrical): Passed Class 12th (10+2) with 60% aggregate marks and 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/IT. OR 3-year Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunication / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Communication / Power Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering / IT Engineering with 60% aggregate marks.
    9. Physical Standards (Approximate - Exact details in notification):
    10. Height: Minimum 157 cm. Relaxation for certain regions/categories.
    11. Chest: Minimum expansion of 5 cm.
    12. Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
    13. Hearing, Vision, Dental: Specific standards apply (No colour blindness for Navik GD, specific requirements for Yantrik). Physical fitness is paramount.
    14. Medical Standards: Candidates must be in excellent physical and mental health, free from any disease/disability. A detailed medical examination follows later stages.

    ICG CGEPT 2025 Selection Process: Step-by-Step

    1. CGEPT (Coast Guard Entrance Physical Test): This is the initial screening test conducted at various centers. It consists of:

    3. Squats (Uthak Baithak): 20 repetitions.

    16. For Navik GD: Based on Class 12th syllabus (Physics, Maths, Chemistry, English, Reasoning, GK/CA).
    17. For Yantrik: Based on Diploma/Class 12th syllabus (Physics, Maths, Chemistry, English, Reasoning, GK/CA, Engineering discipline basics).
    18. Final Medical Examination: Comprehensive medical exam at designated Military Hospitals.
    19. Document Verification (DV): Verification of all original certificates and documents.
    20. Merit List & Joining: Final selection based on merit from the Written Exam, subject to medical fitness. Successful candidates receive joining letters for training.
