As the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) approaches on 6th and 7th September 2025, students across Uttar Pradesh are feeling the pressure. But the final week isn’t about panicking or comparing yourself to other students but strategy, right practice and self-belief!
Here are few tips to help you stay focused and confident.
DO's - What to do?1.Prioritize Smart Revision
- Focus on high-yield topics like General Knowledge (especially UP-specific), Current Affairs, Hindi Grammar, and Reasoning.
- Use mind maps, flashcards, and short notes to reinforce key concepts, they will help in last minute revision a lot.
2. Practice Mock Tests Daily
- Simulate exam conditions to improve speed and accuracy.
- Review your mistakes and revise weak areas immediately.
3. Solve Previous Year Papers
- Solving as much PYQ's will help you to understand the question paper pattern and recurring themes and you will feel more ready in the exam.
- Build confidence by tracking your progress. Daily analyze how many previous years you have done and how much can you do without having any mistakes.
5. Organize Your Exam Essentials
- Keep your admit card, ID proof, and stationery ready.
- Visit your exam center in advance if possible.
DON’Ts: What to Avoid
1. Don’t Start New Topics
- New material now can lead to confusion and anxiety. Stick to what you know and revise that until you get it precisely clear.
2. Don’t Overuse Social Media
- This is a crucial time, so you need to limit distractions. Use your phone only for revision tools or mock tests only. Prioritize your education over your entertainment just for a week.
3. Don’t Compare Yourself
- Everyone has a unique journey. Focus on your own growth not on others. Don't think how much the other student has studied and how little you have because it will do nothing but low your self- confidence!
5. Don’t Panic Over Mock Scores
- A bad mock test isn’t the real score of your exam. Taking them to your heart and thinking negatively will only harm your real score.
- You need to quickly analyze where you did mistakes, so you won't repeat them during the exam.
Do the work and don't think anything about the results, you can do that after giving the exam. Right now, the only thing you need to focus is studying and improving your mock test and previous years mistakes. Give this exam your all so there can be no regrets at the end!
All the best from the Notesly team!
