If you’re preparing for board exams right now, you’ve probably already heard a thousand tips — “study 10 hours a day,” “use this book,” “join that coaching.”
And honestly? Most of it is overwhelming and confusing.
This guide is different.
I am writing this as a student who has been exactly where you are — stressed, unsure, trying to figure out how to study smart, not just hard.
So if you’ve been waiting for a genuine, practical roadmap, here it is.
Scoring 90+ in boards is not about:
It’s mainly about:
That’s it.
The secret is consistency, not pressure.
The biggest mistake students make is using too many books.
More books = more confusion.
Stick to this:
| Subject | What to Study |
| Science / Physics / Chemistry / Biology | NCERT + Previous Year Questions |
| Maths | NCERT + Exemplar + PYQs |
| English | NCERT + Writing format practice |
| Humanities / SST | NCERT + Short notes |
NCERT is your main guide, like a fairy-God mother!
Boards ask directly from it.
You don’t need to wake up at 4 AM.
Just try like this:
| Time | Task |
| Morning (1–1.5 hrs) | Study your toughest subject first |
| Afternoon (1 hr) | Solve PYQs / sample papers |
| Evening (1–1.5 hrs) | Revise or study a lighter theory subject |
| Night (15–30 min) | Quick recap of what you did today |
Total: 4 hours — but done every day.
Small daily progress > Last-minute panic study.
This helps you finish chapters fast and remember them.
| Step | What to Do |
| Learn | Read NCERT → underline key points |
| Practice | Solve PYQs / NCERT Questions |
| Revise | Convert the chapter into a 1-page summary |
1 chapter = 1 page of notes.
Not a notebook full of paragraphs.
PYQs show:
Solve 1 sample paper every Sunday in real exam timing.
You’ll see your confidence grow naturally.
Examiner should find your answer pleasant to look at.
Focus on:
This alone can add 10–15 marks to your final score.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to know everything today.
You don’t have to compare yourself with toppers.
You just have to start.
Even if it’s slow. Even if it’s small.
If you’re trying — genuinely trying — you’re already ahead of where you were yesterday.
Take a breath.
You’re doing better than you think.
Scoring 90+ isn’t about talent.
It’s about:
And you can absolutely do this. Really.
